Velodyne's Optimum-8 subwoofer makes it easy to enjoy forceful, precise bass from all your movies and music. A 1,200-watt amplifier and 8" driver provide the low-frequency muscle. Powerful DSPs (digital signal processors) monitor and adjust the Optimum-8's bass quality, for deeper, more accurate performance. Line-level and speaker-level inputs let you connect this sub to just about any home audio system. And you can use the variable crossover and phase control to fine-tune the sub's output, so the bass will blend in perfectly with the mids and highs coming from your main speakers.

The handsome, compact cabinet features a convenient front-panel display of your volume, crossover, and phase selections — no more struggling to read the settings on the rear panel. And the included remote lets you adjust the sound from the comfort of your couch. The Optimum-8 uses an automatic equalizer to tailor the sub's low-frequency response to the acoustics of your room. Just plug in the included microphone, place it in your favorite listening chair, and hit the "EQ" button on the remote. You get clean, low-distortion bass no matter what size your room is or where you place the sub. You can also choose from four customized audio presets that modify the sub's sound to suit your tastes and source material.
